Landry, Alina

Alina Landry Rancier is an interdisciplinary artist; a creative director, filmmaker/animator & performer.
Her films and artwork are concerned with human behaviour and the influence love and
loss have on its metamorphosis. She strives to both expose and demystify the way we relate to
our inner selves and the rest of humanity. She aims to create new and unconventional platforms
in which video, interactive art, music/sound and live performance elements intertwine.

She began her studies in Communication Design at the Altos de Chavon School of Design in La
Romana. Her creative exploration continued in New York, where she earned her BFA at
Parsons The New School for Design, after receiving the Bludhorn Scholarship and CV Starr
Scholarship. Since 2004 Alina has been fully immersed in the world of motion graphics and art
direction, commencing her investigation of film in 2007.
